Poems from akrupp13
The dark, black sidewalk swallows the sun
in the scorching days of summer.
Beams of light glisten off of the water, sparkling
as sailboats...
I just walked by a tree that had feet,
Its roots stretched all the way to the street.
The sky is free of animal-shaped clouds,
As we walk...
I wonder what it must be like to sit atop the handlebars of your best friend’s bike.
I wonder what it’s like to drive a car, and to stand,...
Picture frames in dark corners on the shelves,
I look around and can hear the silence’s yells.
There is only the darkness that surrounds me...
I feel the pain from my head to the ground
But everywhere I look, I never hear a sound.
Not one person standing up for me
No one telling...
