Poems from lockhart

I'm a 17 year old guy from Richmond, Virginia and, since I was young, language has been my art of choice: reading, writing, speaking, singing, English, foreign - if its words I love it. I'm admittedly a very awkward person - I have a great number of anxieties I'm working through every day - and I feel like I sometimes compensate for my struggle to communicate out loud with my ability to communicate with a blank piece of paper, and poetry is usually just the first thing that comes out because, like thoughts and emotions, it barely needs to follow any set course or to sound or flow "correctly" in a prosaic kind of way. I love Langston Hughes, I'm inspired by Shakespeare, Allen Ginsberg is my hero, and Kendrick Lamar is pretty cool too.
