To Be Fifteen

Location

The first day of a never ending trial

The world is my jury;

It decides what I will be,

How I should look,

How I should feel.

With the interrogating pressure of success

Hand in hand they work to test you

They work hardest at fifteen.

Vulnerability can consume you,

Only if you're weak,

Peer pressure can clone you,

Becoming something you're not.

To be fifteen means to wonder,

Wonder about your future

What will I be beyond this point?

Motivation can be found and lost,

Wishful thoughts and hopeful dreams

Can help you through this journey.

The journey seems to be just beginning

But in the end, with faith, I know I'll be winning.
