Because I Love You

Because I love you

I will never hurt you

My hand shall not raise

Or meet your skin with a "thwap"

Becuase I love you

I will never stray

Nor will I even look their way

Becuase I love you

You will never doubt your worth

I could write essays

Upon essays

Upon essays

About the curl of your hair

Becuase I love you

I will tell you every day

The multitude of things you mean to me

And I to you

Becuase I love you

can turn sour

I will tell you other things

"Be safe"

"Wear your seatbelt"

"This reminded me of you"

"Here take my jacket"

Because I love you

I will try

To remind you that

"Because I love you"

Isn't always a bad sign.
