Break down.

Eyes

Swollen like a training runner’s feet

Red like the blood pooling from a rose pricked finger

As the too-familiar dense liquid collides with her

Mouth

Salty like a mouth full of ocean water from a shipwreck

Whimpering like a dog missing his owner

As the too-familiar dense liquid streams down her

Face

Speckled like an arm after an allergy test

Tired like soldier after a long nights work

As the too-familiar dense liquid plummets onto her

Shoulders

Heaving like a shipman pulling a sail on a Viking’s ship

Tense like a juvenile waiting for the judge’s sentence

As the too-familiar dense liquid is wiped away by her

Hands

Shaking like a person with anxiety being pulled over

Clutching like a father’s hands on a bat looking for an intruder

As the too-familiar dense liquid continues flowing.

The pain

Is a never-ending

Cycle

Only to be fixed by a

Love

Already

Lost.
