Hidden Behind the Veil

Who am I?

The one cowering on the floor as the crowd walks by

Fear rips through my body

The anxiety tears at my heart with its needle-sharp nails

My breathing increases as my attack starts

I shake, unable to stop the assault on my mind and soul

I can't take this

Panic fills me as I run for a dark room, to escape

Why must I be so different?
