Listen To The Things They Say

We're in a battle every day fighting the demons this world portrays.
We get pulled under water like anchors out at sea.
We struggle to find the air we need to be able to breathe.
Is it possible that our minds are a jail and we are locked away?
Is it possible that no matter who we are we all struggle to this day?
One of the many places a battle ground stands is at school.
We have bullies and their victims.
Do people consider that there are two sides to every story?
Do people realize that the bullies struggle just as much as their targets do?
They have a story too, a reasoning for their cruel and hateful words.
The pain they dish out is he pain that they've kept locked away.
Bullies are continuous and it feels like it never ends.
It seems this way because their pain doesn't stop either.
Their pain doesn't end just like ours.
They do it to make themselves feel better, but it only works temporarily.
They feel the have power for that short moment, but they still hurt inside.
I'm not saying that it's right because it's wrong.
I'm saying listen to their words because they are a hidden story.
A story they don't want anyone to know.
They're silently yelling for help just like we are.
They're silently yelling for someone to untie them from the anchor that drowns them out at sea.
A person that listens to what they say and doesn't just walk away is a person that can change the world.
A single soul that stands up for what's right can change how someone else acts.
A person that listens to the people that struggle can make a difference.
These kind of people can make an impact.
Don't just sit there, stand up and do what's right.
Listen to the words they say and make an impact that changes history.
Make an impact that will be unforgotten.
Make an impact that people our age will read about years from now.
We can change the world by listening to the words that people say.
