My Life Has Changed Right Before My Very Eyes

Wed, 06/05/2019 - 10:12 -- Aleto5

Hmm… something doesn’t feel quite right

I closed my eyes, yet everything seemed so bright

The sun is looking upon me, telling me to get up

But I wanted today to be like before… before I was a grown-up

Back breaking, heart racing, I hurried into the bathroom

I madly brushed my teeth and washed my armpits, and then zoomed into the bedroom

Rapidly, I dressed myself with clothes worth working in, and rushed out the door

Fifteen minutes later, I arrive at my destination, across from the grocery store

I convened with my boss and started on my work

I then indulged in some playful banter but tried to explained to my manager that it was teamwork

Once again it was time to leave

I was glum at first but soon raced back home with a sense of relieve

Being a kid was great, being a kid was fun

But I soon realized that the real fun had yet to begun
