Naked

So what do you suppose,

when you finally see her naked?

Will her skin thrill you so?

Will your eyes attach to her falling robe?

Will it all be worth your while

to see the tomb of her soul, entirely undone

Free of the garments that prodded your thoughts

So what do you suppose will happen after,

when she’s fully clothed?

Will your mind grow tired of the body you could roam eyes closed?

Your heart is in your hands

But they stay in your pockets

Because a heartless sleeve

Seems much less daunting

So truly, what do you suppose

when you finally see her naked?

Will the night grow old,

and will your eyes grow less responsive?

Here she lies,

arms unfolded

So what is it that you suppose,

when you finally see her naked?

You may leave her

And wish you could forget any traces

You may move on

But heed the moment

For you will never forget the look in her eyes

When you tell her your love was jaded
