Paradise in the Ruins

Kids on the street, suffering from pain. The only thing to ease their mind is to join a gang. No more playing tag or hide-and-seek, only inside, playing games on T.V. Not a lot of smiles of happiness, just sadness and loneliness. The streets sad and icey, as cars come and don't act so nicely. The sound of screeching tires, along with the sound of gunfire. The horrible sadness that comes with the loss of a friend, but all things bad can come to an end. Altars set along a tree, to set that little soul free, bringing together our community. The mom holding on so tight, but knows she has to let her baby fly. Goes home with the picture held in her hands, along with her family hand in hand. Finally home, tears run down her cheek. Dad, trying to give her, her favorite sweets. Children stopped playing their favorite game, Eldest son forgot his own name. Past memories are frozen still, he’s taking life ending pills. Lost brother killed in the ruins, he left hearts with hurting bruises. Trying to end his life to go to heaven, to join his brother named Levin. Mother heard a thud from upstairs, rushing parents tried to go there. Dad busting the door down, saw his son with pills around. Picked him up and ran downstairs, through the backdoor to set him by the car there. Drove to the hospital to save their sons life, ran to the emergency room along with his wife. Mom and dad stood at his bedside, waiting to see the bright side. Eldest son seeing light, but he had some fright inside. Saw his brother levin reaching, Telling him to go back and try to listen. Confused and sad, he went back to his mom and dad. Opened his eyes and called out their names, seeing tears running down their face. Doctors came in to check him, seeing that he had awakened. Stayed there for the week, Mom and dad bringing him food to eat. Apologies and hugs are given, finally smiles and tears have risen. Seeing mom and dad happy, sharing funny memories so they started laughing. Final hugs before heading back, came back to give something they all lack. Words of advise, in every life there are ruins but in every ruin there's always Paradise. I found my paradise in the ruins. Seeing my family together and happy once more. It doesn't mean you can't find yours, life is his and hers, even if there are sores.
