Remembrance

There's a song that replays in my head

And it sings of you

The entirety of your everlasting beauty

Your unforgettable love

I can not change what happened

Nor can I change why you had to leave

But I can live in our memories

And they give me courage to begin the day

The way you loved uncontrollably

The way your hugs felt

The stories we told to each other

And your contagious laughter

I know you had to leave

I was young and didn't know why

But now I understand

Why it was your time to fly

You're a butterfly in the sky

You're my superhero

And I’ll remember your gift

For the rest of time
