Silent and Content

The sounds of music flutter through my ears,

Sounds that pierce through any obstruction.

Sights so beautiful that they mend with tears,

So beautiful that it will never face destruction.

Bold and calm flavors invade my taste,

The many tastes of life energize my sense.

Touching all that from prickly to paste,

Life so thrilling it over powers the intense.

Every sense grows dim while we age,

Everything in life grows dim as meant.

The journal of life is on the last page,

Every memory has been used and spent.

This life I adore, silent and content.
