The Space

There’s a space,

A hole,

A gap,

An Emptiness.

It’s left unfilled,

Why? I don’t know.

Or I should say,

I didn’t know,

Until You.

You fill that space,

Just as easily as you

Empty It. The void

Is alleviated by You.

Your touch.

If only it weren’t so,

Temporary, so…

Fickle, this feeling of

Loving embrace.

It takes me away,

Far away from the

Burdens of this life.

Those arms warm me.

Yours.

Those eyes, Oh!

Those wonderful eyes.

The crystalline blue,

That shaded green…

Nothing pierces my heart

More than those eyes.

You see me as I,

I cannot see myself.

Your heart has captured mine,

And has filled the space…

A space once left empty-

No more shall it be.
