Yo Soy Puertorriqueña

Arroz con habichuelas, las telenovelas. (Rice and beans, Hispanic soap operas)

Dark skin is not equivalent to sin.

Puerto Rican I am, I am Puerto Rican.

La bandera que vuela muestra mi cultura. (The flag that flies shows my culture)

I have overcome the challenges I have faced.

Puerto Rican I am, I am Puerto Rican.

Who said?

Who said that being a minority was a bad thing?

¿Quien dijo? (Who said?)

Because in my eyes, it's a wonderful thing... the best thing.

Puerto Rican I am. Yo soy Puertorriqueña. (I am Puerto Rican.)
